Portland State of Mind Day of Service: Our Interconnected Future

Saturday, October 19th, 2019 from 8:30am to 1:30pm

About

Join together for a fun and engaging campus-wide day of service while exploring the interconnectedness of issues facing our community. From health & wellness to sustainability, from food security to literacy, from houseless youth to aging in isolation, our ability to tackle community needs effectively requires us to find where root causes overlap, where solutions intersect, and how we can work together across issue areas to build a brighter future.

Date: Saturday, October 19, 2019
Time: 8:30am - 1:30pm
Smith Memorial Student Union (SMSU) Room 101

Portland State of Mind Day of Service invites you to dig into a day of community engagement and conversation in support of issues and community organizations both on and off campus. Join us for morning reflections and a short kick off, meet your service project leads, and head off across campus and the into the city for a couple hours of hands-on volunteering. Afterwards, we'll reconvene at PSU for lunch (provided) and engaging conversation across service groups to explore the interconnectedness of the issues addressed at our service sites and reflect on how we can continue to live our motto: Let knowledge serve the city.

Serve on one of the following Service Projects:
