About

How is COVID-19 affecting food insecurity on college campuses?

The spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has caused disruption to the activities and services
available to college students currently enrolled at universities across the United States. In the
face of this disruption, college students who have already been identified as being vulnerable to
food insecurity now face increased challenges and risks.

Is food insecurity related to health and academic outcomes in U.S college students? What does
food insecurity look like during a pandemic? What resources are available to mitigate food
insecurity on college campuses? What structures or mechanisms are contributing to these
inequalities? What steps can be created to mitigate these challenges?
