About

We believe that every child should have the opportunity to love healthy foods, and that if given the skills and knowledge necessary to have a more active role in their food choices children will desire to become proponents for their health.

The Farm to Table Cooking Class builds enthusiasm around fresh fruits and vegetables and empowers students with the skills and the desire to prepare healthy food. It is a unique way for students to learn how to prepare a meal.

Apple Seeds invites kids to the Teaching Farm and Kitchen where they read recipes, harvest ingredients, prepare recipes at cooking stations, pick flowers for the table, set the table, and sit down together to eat. This novel experience shows students that healthy eating is possible and can be a fun adventure!

Come assist during this program to help students learn how to use cooking tools safely, harvest, follow recipes and cook! No cooking experience required as recipes are simple.

This program has random dates scheduled throughout evenings in July and August. Sign up to be emailed with more information about volunteering. We expect volunteers to commit to at least 3 Farm to Tables since background checks are required.

Come join the fun!
