About
We're giving away over $3000 in festival passes! Signup to volunteer for any 4-hour shift and the weekend is on us!*
The Ozark Off Road Cyclists (or OORC) is stoked to present the 14th Annual Buffalo Headwaters Challenge Mountain Bike Festival January 25th through the 27th, 2019 in Red Star, Arkansas. Come celebrate mountain biking in the Arkansas Ozarks… with 500 of your closest friends!
Featuring the Upper Buffalo Mountain Bike Trail System, an IMBA EPIC, the Buffalo Headwaters Challenge (or BHWC) is the OORC's annual membership drive.
We have several volunteer opportunities throughout the weekend!
*While you have to be a member to participate in the rides (liability), all volunteers will receive a complimentary festival pass ($50 value) as recognition for their efforts! This means that if you are already a current member of the OORC, you can attend the event weekend for FREE just for helping out a little with the festival.
The festival pass includes 5 meals, 3 days of riding, live music both Friday and Saturday night, camping, and event swag... all inclusive!
It is requested that all volunteers check-in at the Headwaters School 15 minutes before their shift starts. Some task, like registration, require a little pow wow before they kickoff.
We will have a volunteer sign-in and waiver we request everyone ink prior to starting their shift. Tracking volunteer efforts are critical to organizations like the OORC.
Checkout the list of opportunities and signup today. We'll see you at the Headwaters!
Note: There is very little (none really) cell service on the event grounds so plan on an amazing weekend off the grid. Cell service can be found just a 5 minute drive away though so if it is critical to check-in with civilization you'll be able to.
Also, no pets on event grounds. We are guest to the Headwaters community and for liability reasons they have a no pet policy... so we do to.
