Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Phi Alpha Omega Chapter and the Tea Rose Foundation of Northwest Arkansas are excited to present their 21st Annual Celebrity Waiter Gala on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Fayetteville Town Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Our Celebrity Waiters will be community leaders from the National Panhellenic Council, Interfraternity Council, and the National Panhellenic Council who have served their respective organizations for 10 to 50 years through service and dedication to their mission.

 

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., founded in 1908 at Howard University, Washington, D.C., is the oldest Black Greek Letter Sorority. The Sorority, built on the foundation of providing “Service to all Mankind,” boasts a world-wide membership of over 250,000 college-trained women.  The Phi Alpha Omega Chapter is located in Bentonville, Arkansas and has proudly served the needs of the Northwest Arkansas community since 1998.  The Tea Rose Foundation of Northwest Arkansas is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization that accepts tax deductible contributions and serves as the charitable arm of the chapter.

 

This year's theme will be Divine Renaissance “A Night at the Pink and Green Cotton Club”. Guests will enjoy a green carpet welcome, dinner, gaming, live entertainment, and silent and oral auctions. Funds raised not only provide college scholarships for deserving high school, undergraduate, and graduate students from our community, but will also support our health and poverty initiatives. Over the past five years, scholarship awards have been granted to over 150 students valued at over $160,000. In total, 250 students have been awarded scholarships valued at over $340,000.
