About
Our Parks and Recreation system is comprised of over 70 parks, 3 recreational lakes (Lake Wilson, Lake Fayetteville and Lake Sequoyah), over 60 miles of trails (asphalt, concrete and natural), greenhouse facilities, community gardens, ornamental gardens and the Yvonne Richardson Community Center. Fayetteville Parks and Recreation offers opportunities for every need and we want everyone to enjoy our beautiful city! Our facilities are equipped for all sorts of activities including picnicking, fishing, swimming, soccer, hiking, baseball, nature watching, mountain biking, walking and more. One of our most popular and versatile features is our quickly growing trail network; multi-use trails are being constructed throughout the city for walking, biking, jogging, rollerblading and commuting. We are proud to offer a wide variety of award-winning facilities and recreational programs. Programs include: the Summer Concert Series, youth soccer, adult softball, volleyball, kickball, swimming, tennis, the Fayetteville Race Series (running, cycling, multi-sport events), nature walks, garden tours and other special activities.
